The USH Book Club meets from 2:30 – 4 PM on the 2nd Thursday of each month, September through June, either on Zoom or occasionally as a hybrid meeting. If you would like to participate in a discussion of the book and related issues, please contact Ginny Allen at fiddlenurse1@gmail.com. An email with the Zoom link will be sent to you a day or two before the meeting.
The goals of the USH Book Club are:
- to foster communication and community, as do our other small church groups, and
- to read fiction and non-fiction that represents a variety of styles, eras and genres.
Format:
We begin with a period of check-in. Each meeting has a designated leader who guides the discussion, initially giving each participant an opportunity to share his/her thoughts on the book. This is then followed by a full group discussion. We end each meeting with members sharing the titles of books, movies or TV shows that they would like to recommend to others.
